Yorkshire Terriers are great lap dogs. Only 7 to 10 pounds in weight, they are small bundles of energy and attitude. Their silky coats can be kept long or short and are easy to groom.

Baby Raina

Born March 1, 2006 this is Raina. The spelling is not quite correct, but her name means 'queen' in Spanish. Yorkies are usually black and tan in color as puppies. As they reach maturity, the coat color can be blue and tan, blue and gold, black and tan or black and gold. The very long coat appears mainly in show dogs. The hair is straight and silky.

She is also a wonderful lap dog.

At almost 8 months of age, Raina was showing her adult coloring of tan and blue.

Raina is registered with both the American Kennel Club and the Continental Kennel Club with the name Monster Raina Special Treasure.

Fierce Raina

Raina can be as fierce-looking as her big brother Winston. She has a wild bark that sounds like a 'war cry'.

It looks like Winston and Penny would like to have coats like Raina's.

Fashionable dog

Raina and her babies Raina is a wonderful mother. She is very attentive to her puppies. She keeps them clean and makes sure their bellies are full when they are tiny. She will encourage them to walk when it is time. And she pushes them away when it is time for the puppies to be eating puppy chow. She enjoys playing with the pups as they grow.
